Das Heer is a non-political organisation that aims to recreate the lives of ordinary German soldiers during the period 1939 - 1941 Its purpose is public education and the mutual benefit of its members. The society is composed of amateur military historians and collectors.  Das Heer operates within strict legal boundaries, and according to our own strict rules and constitution. Das Heer does not condone, apologise or ignore War Crimes and atrocities carried out in the name of the German people.
